About LiTex
We specialize in weaving conductive elements into textile. The weaving came first — the conductivity was added to a competence the business already had.
A spinoff, not a startup
LiTex was founded in 1999 as a spinoff of Hen Hao Trading, a traditional narrow fabrics manufacturer, and remains its subsidiary today. Narrow fabrics — tapes, ribbons, webbing, braid — are made on looms built for exactly the widths a conductive tape needs, which is why a conductive yarn business grew out of a ribbon business rather than out of an electronics one.

LiTex and Hen Hao Trading Co., Ltd. share these Taipei premises, which is why both plates still hang there — alongside Taiwan Tulip Ribbon & Braids, a ribbon and braid works at the same address.
Woven metal came before conductive yarn
Through special projects and contracts, LiTex moved into manufacturing for heavy industries that needed woven metal products. Those projects are where the competence came from: putting metal into fabric without the fabric ceasing to behave like fabric. That skill produced the Wired Conductive Woven Tape and, later, Conductive Metal Yarn.
Our objective is to create new innovative products, and take a step into functional fabrics to make ourselves standout in an ever-evolving industry.
Made on looms, not by hand

The claim that separates Conductive Metal Yarn from carbon fibre and stainless steel fibre is not a material claim, it is a manufacturing one: CMY is made ready to use on these looms, where the alternatives are mostly assembled by hand. Fabric width is customisable up to 70 cm. See the full comparison →
